Early flowering, popular, deciduous Agapanthus from the trumpet group, flowers abundantly with violet-blue flowers on sturdy stems. This plant has beautiful dark stems and beautiful dark discolouring seed pods. It was the first cultivar that breeder Kees Duivenvoorde had registered. He named him after Dr. T. Brouwer, specialist in the hospital in Heemskerk. The colored seed pods that come to this plant after flowering are also remarkably beautiful.
raised by Kees Duivenvoorde, Beverwijk, The Netherlands, introduced in 1987, and still in cultivation.
