Agapanthus ‘Scooby Blue’ is another strong introduction from our own breeding programme. This cultivar immediately stands out благодаря its intense, deep blue flower colour, combined with attractive, long flower stems, giving the plant an elegant yet powerful appearance.

‘Scooby Blue’ flowers very easily and can also be repeat-flowering, ensuring a long-lasting ornamental value throughout the season. In terms of appearance, this cultivar shows similarities to ‘Lady Lay’, but clearly distinguishes itself by developing longer flower stems and a slightly different foliage type, giving it its own distinct and recognisable character.

The foliage also contributes significantly to the ornamental value, forming a harmonious whole with the colour and shape of the flowers. Thanks to its reliable flowering and repeat-flowering habit, Agapanthus ‘Scooby Blue’ is an excellent choice for both containers and open ground.

The name ‘Scooby Blue’ was deliberately chosen as a playful reference and wordplay on Scooby-Doo. Just as Scooby-Doo is instantly recognisable, Agapanthus ‘Scooby Blue’ leaves a lasting impression thanks to its striking deep blue colour and eye-catching appearance. The addition of “Blue” naturally refers to the intense flower colour, while “Scooby” adds a fun, memorable name full of character.
