1999, (chance seedling of A. praecox subsp. orientalis) raised by G. Morrison,
Doncaster, Victoria, Australia, known since 1999.


This is an evergreen Agapanthus with deep blue-black, trumpet-shaped flowers that burst open in July and August from almost black buds.
